Key Responsibilities

• Perform elective and emergency abdominal surgeries - laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, and appendectomy
• Carry out HPB surgeries including Whipple's procedure, liver resections, and bile duct surgeries
• Perform colorectal surgeries - hemicolectomy, APR, anterior resection, and stoma creation
• Execute bariatric and metabolic surgical procedures
• Manage GI cancers in coordination with medical and radiation oncology
• Handle acute surgical emergencies - bowel obstruction, perforation peritonitis, and GI bleeding
• Conduct pre-operative evaluation, post-operative care, and surgical follow-up clinics
• Supervise junior surgical residents and theatre teams
• Participate in tumour board meetings and academic surgical conferences

Qualifications & Requirements

MCh or DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology; valid NMC registration. Experience in laparoscopic and HPB surgery is required.
