Key Responsibilities

• Administer anaesthesia for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and congenital corrections
• Manage haemodynamics during cardiopulmonary bypass and weaning from bypass
• Perform and interpret perioperative transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Oversee post-operative care in the cardiac surgery ICU
• Manage advanced monitoring devices - PA catheter, arterial lines, CVP
• Participate in pre-operative cardiac risk assessment and anaesthesia planning
• Handle perioperative arrhythmias and assist with cardioversion / defibrillation
• Collaborate with the cardiac surgery and perfusion teams throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate records of anaesthesia events, drug administration, and complications

Qualifications & Requirements

MD / DNB in Anaesthesia with fellowship or specialised training in cardiac anaesthesia; valid NMC registration.
