X-Ray Technician Jobs In Durgapur

Key Responsibilities

• Perform conventional digital X-ray examinations of chest, abdomen, spine, and extremities with correct positioning and technique
• Position patients appropriately to minimise repeat exposures and obtain diagnostic-quality radiographs
• Assist radiologists and technologists during CT scanning, fluoroscopy procedures, and contrast studies
• Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance of X-ray, fluoroscopy, and CR/DR equipment
• Adhere strictly to radiation protection protocols including use of lead aprons, collimation, and ALARA principles
• Process and archive digital images in the hospital PACS/RIS system with correct patient labelling
• Maintain radiography request logs, daily exposure records, and radiation dose monitoring registers
• Prepare patients for contrast radiological procedures and assist in management of mild contrast reactions
• Coordinate with clinical departments and porters for timely imaging of inpatients, ICU patients, and emergency cases

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or B.Sc. in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology from a recognised paramedical institution; valid AERB / State Medical Imaging Council registration. Experience in digital radiography and PACS is preferred.
