Key Responsibilities

• Perform coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) - both on-pump and off-pump
• Carry out valve repair and replacement surgeries for mitral, aortic, and tricuspid valves
• Manage congenital heart defects in paediatric and adult patients
• Perform thoracic procedures including lung resections, mediastinal surgery, and chest wall repairs
• Conduct pre-operative cardiac assessment and surgical planning in multidisciplinary meetings
• Manage post-operative cardiac ICU care and recovery protocols
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists for hybrid procedures
• Provide emergency surgical management for aortic dissection and traumatic cardiac injuries
• Train junior surgical residents and maintain surgical documentation

Qualifications & Requirements

MCh or DNB in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery; valid NMC / State Council registration. Proven independent surgical experience is required.
