Key Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in medical, surgical, cardiac, and neuro ICUs
• Oversee mechanical ventilation - lung-protective strategies, weaning, and non-invasive ventilation
• Manage sepsis and septic shock with goal-directed therapy protocols
• Perform bedside ICU procedures - central venous catheter, arterial line, chest drain, and bronchoscopy
• Conduct CRRT and haemodynamic monitoring with advanced monitoring devices
• Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds and family communication
• Apply point-of-care ultrasound for haemodynamic assessment and procedural guidance
• Implement ICU quality metrics - VAP bundles, CLABSI prevention, and daily goals
• Supervise ICU nursing, paramedical staff, and ICU residents / fellows

Qualifications & Requirements

MD in General Medicine / Anaesthesia with IDCCM / fellowship in Critical Care Medicine; valid NMC registration.
