Medical Gastroenterology Jobs In Asansol

Key Responsibilities

• Perform upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures - OGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and endoscopic biopsies
• Carry out therapeutic endoscopic procedures - polypectomy, variceal banding, ERCP, EUS, and stenting
• Manage acute and chronic liver diseases including cirrhosis, hepatitis, and hepatic encephalopathy
• Diagnose and treat inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis)
• Manage GI bleeding emergencies - variceal bleeds, peptic ulcer disease, and angiodysplasia
• Coordinate with hepatobiliary surgeons and radiologists for complex cases
• Oversee liver transplant patient workup and post-transplant care (if applicable)
• Conduct hepatology OPD clinics and follow-up for chronic liver disease patients
• Contribute to department protocols, quality audits, and academic activities

Qualifications & Requirements

DM or DNB in Medical Gastroenterology; valid NMC registration. Expertise in therapeutic endoscopy and hepatology is preferred.
