Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry. The candidate will play a crucial role in teaching, research, and academic development, ensuring excellence in medical education and fostering innovative research in the field of biochemistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Deliver lectures, conduct practicals, and tutorials for undergraduate (MBBS, BDS, Nursing) and postgraduate students (MD, MSc).
Prepare academic schedules, lesson plans, and examination materials.
Mentor and guide students in their academic projects, dissertations, and research activities.
Research:
Initiate and participate in departmental and interdisciplinary research projects.
Publish research articles in reputed national and international journals.
Supervise postgraduate and doctoral research work.
Clinical and Academic Activities:
Collaborate with the clinical departments for teaching applied biochemistry to medical students.
Participate in curriculum development and implementation as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Organize and attend academic seminars, conferences, and workshops.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and institutional committees.
Assist the Head of Department (HoD) in administrative tasks and policy development.
Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualifications:
MD in Biochemistry or equivalent qualification recognized by the NMC.
Candidates with PhD in Biochemistry (with a medical background) will be considered for non-clinical departments.
Experience:
As per NMC norms, candidates should have the required teaching experience at the Assistant Professor level.
