Position: Professor in Pediatrician
Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Experience Requirements : 7 to 23 years.
Education : MD,DNB.
Salary : 200000 to 250000 Rs Per Month.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching: You would be responsible for imparting knowledge and training to medical students pursuing pediatric specialization. This includes delivering lectures, conducting practical demonstrations, facilitating small group discussions, and supervising clinical rotations.
Clinical Practice: You would provide clinical care to pediatric patients, either through outpatient clinics or inpatient settings. This involves diagnosing and treating various pediatric conditions, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and monitoring patient progress.
Research: You would be expected to engage in research activities related to pediatrics. This can include conducting studies, publishing research papers in peer-reviewed journals, participating in collaborative research projects, and securing research grants to support your work.
Supervision and Mentoring: As a professor, you would guide and mentor junior faculty members, residents, and medical students. This involves providing constructive feedback, assisting with career development, and overseeing their educational and clinical activities.
Curriculum Development: You may contribute to the development and revision of the pediatric curriculum in the medical college. This involves staying updated with the latest advancements in the field and incorporating them into the teaching materials and programs.
Administrative Duties: You would be involved in administrative tasks such as attending departmental meetings, participating in academic committees, and contributing to the overall management and governance of the medical college.
Continuing Medical Education: To stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine, you would be expected to engage in ongoing professional development activities, attend conferences, workshops, and seminars, and continuously update your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical college.
Postgraduate degree (MD/DNB) in Pediatrician.
Teaching experience, preferably in a medical college.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
