Job Description:
Diagnosis and Treatment: Evaluate patients presenting with various ear, nose, and throat disorders, conduct thorough examinations, and order diagnostic tests such as imaging studies or laboratory tests. Develop appropriate treatment plans based on the diagnosis, which may include medication, surgical interventions, or other therapeutic procedures.
Surgical Procedures: Perform surgical interventions related to the ear, nose, and throat, such as tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, septoplasties, rhinoplasties, sinus surgeries, ear surgeries (including cochlear implants), and head and neck cancer surgeries. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during surgical procedures, and provide post-operative care.
Medical Consultations: Provide consultations to patients referred by other physicians or healthcare professionals within the hospital. Collaborate with other medical specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care and make appropriate referrals if necessary.
Emergency Care: Respond to emergency situations involving ENT-related conditions, such as severe epistaxis (nosebleeds), foreign body removal from the airway, acute infections, or trauma to the head and neck region. Stabilize and manage patients in critical conditions until further treatment or consultation can be provided.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the nature of their condition, available treatment options, and preventive measures. Provide guidance on post-operative care, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized medical institution.
Completion of a postgraduate degree (MS/MD/DNB) in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) from a recognized university.
Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the relevant state medical council.
Relevant experience in diagnosing and treating various ENT conditions.
Proficiency in performing ENT surgical procedures.
Strong clinical skills and the ability to make accurate diagnoses.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
