Job Description:
Diagnosis and Treatment: Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures to diagnose various medical conditions accurately. Utilize imaging guidance techniques to guide minimally invasive procedures, such as angiography, angioplasty, embolization, biopsy, drainage, and stent placement.
Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and laboratory findings to determine the appropriate interventional radiology procedures required. Assess patients' suitability for procedures and ensure that they are well-informed about the risks and benefits involved.
Procedure Planning: Plan and discuss treatment plans with other healthcare professionals, including referring physicians, surgeons, and oncologists. Determine the most effective and appropriate interventional radiology procedures for individual patients based on their condition and medical history.
Procedure Execution: Perform interventional radiology procedures using image-guided techniques, ensuring accuracy, precision, and patient safety. Collaborate with radiology technologists to obtain high-quality images necessary for guiding the procedures.
Post-procedure Care: Monitor patients after procedures, assessing their condition and managing any complications that may arise. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and follow-up.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including procedure reports, patient progress notes, and other relevant documentation. Adhere to hospital protocols and regulations regarding medical record-keeping and reporting.
Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, such as peer review, to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety. Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in interventional radiology and incorporate them into practice.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists, surgeons, oncologists, and referring physicians, to provide multidisciplinary patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.

Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate degree (DM/DNB) in Radiology.
