Job Description:
Patient Care:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories related to gastrointestinal issues.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and imaging studies.
Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with digestive disorders.
Monitor and manage patients during and after procedures.
Provide education to patients about their conditions and recommended treatments.
Clinical Duties:
Perform various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies.
Prescribe medications and recommend dietary and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, examination findings, test results, and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory documentation standards.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, to coordinate patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.
Research and Education:
Stay abreast of the latest developments in gastroenterology through continuous medical education.
Contribute to or participate in clinical research studies related to gastroenterology.
Provide mentorship and education to medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Implement evidence-based practices to ensure the highest standards of care.
Compliance and Ethics:

Qualifications:
Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate qualification in Gastroenterology (DM or DNB) from a reputable institution.
State medical council registration.
Relevant experience in gastroenterology.
