Biochemistry Professor – Medical College, Pondicherry

Medical College, Pondicherry is seeking a qualified and experienced Professor of Biochemistry to join its faculty. This role involves teaching, research, curriculum development, and mentoring medical students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions on biochemistry topics including molecular biology, enzymology, and clinical biochemistry.
• Develop and update the biochemistry curriculum according to latest research and medical education standards.
• Supervise student research projects and guide academic activities.
• Conduct and publish research in related biochemical fields.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic administration, and quality enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in Biochemistry or equivalent recognized by NMC.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years teaching experience including 4 years as Associate Professor as per NMC norms.
• Proven research record with publications in indexed journals.
• Excellent teaching and mentorship abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: ₹1,68,900 – ₹2,20,400/month, based on qualifications and experience.
